Perception is attained by the five senses; yet it is also imprinted
in the human brain which enables us to do everyday tasks without
much effort. I think perception is also linked to the development
of consciousness. The way in which we perceive our environment
influences our awareness which, in turn, enables us to perceive better
and more efficiently and quicker I would say. Besides making us gain
time, a quicker perception allows us to adapt better to our
immediate environment, economize energy, and make quicker
mental synapses, hence, augment our cognitive capacities.
