This composition is an abstract painting full of sculptural effects.
The dark brown background colours separate the painting into
three juxtaposed non-symmetrical planes. These planes form
a fleeting perspective, and create a contrast with the bright
primary colours. The impasto technique applied to the shades
of blue and to the red-ochre forms an accentuated relief in contrast
to the smooth layers of the primary colours. A highly successful,
captivating abstract expressionist work that attains its unity through
colour, contrast, sculptural forms, and a fleeting perspective.
