I think that the most important aspect of a book review is to write
about the author's worldview by citing examples of his figurative
language and his/her use of vocabulary, punctuation, and especially
the book's themes. The latter is important to give the reader an idea
of the book's significance and unity; for it is by stressing these aspects
that the author comes alive in the reader's mind. I am of the old
school of poets who writes respecting form and especially metaphors.
I believe that empathy is the most important aspect of reading
theory through which the reader identifies and gets to know
the author's worldview. We can learn so much and expand our
life experience by empathizing with the author who, then, becomes
unforgettable in our minds so that we can transmit his knowledge
and life experience to our students, our children, and other readers.
