What happens to a woman when she gives birth to a child? The mother creates

a new attachment nourishing a newborn whom she will get to meet as an adult.

The child will have a personality of his own to develop and the relationship

should ideally be a non-possessive one based on mutual respect and tolerance.

If the mother's role goes beyond the nourishing one, then a relation of mutual

understanding can be set for the two in a society in which obstacles are set

for motherhood when this role is combined with a career or with a sportive

or artistic activity. To remedy this aspect signifies the sharing of roles with a

liberal attitude which includes flexibility and resilience.
