Ekphrasis and Cognitive Capacities

I gave two conferences on ekphrasis in November and spoke about
the links between this rhetorical art and the neurosciences. It was
discovered that looking at paintings, writing poems, and dealing
with art create cognitive trajectories which enable us to develop
our cognitive capacities and adapt better to our environments
whereas stress prevents our cognitive abilities and our decision
taking capacities.
