"The limits of my language are the limits of my mind. All I know is what I have words for."
"Uttering a word is like striking a note on the keyboard of the imagination."
Wittgenstein's words are valid for poets whose language defines their style and poetic
voice. The connotative qualities of language are imaginative and poetic. Connotation
and metaphor distinguish a poem from a prose piece. Imagination opens up a poem
to a limitless space where the reader can enter and play and create as he wishes within
the limits of the poet's words. What a paradox that leads to thought and creation!
